Nice Car, one of the last Minis. They used to call them something else. So you can live on gelato and processed meats and coffee and wine. Works for me. It's a big world ani't it?! Interesting what you say about your freedoms. Strike up a conversation with the women, and men there.
ReplyDeleteThe skiing has been great here. Bright and sunny and cold. Keeps people off the trails! So glad to have skied with you in the Chequamegon before you went. Its had to believe it was last week?
I love you. Say Hi to Lindsay and your new folks.
Keep your eyes and ears open and ask lots of questions.

Hi Sonja! Auntie Donna turned me on to your blog and I am having fun living a bit vicariously through you- enjoy your crazy young adventures. I had my share, in fact I have been to Florence too. I remember lots of shoe stores and fancy clothes, well-dressed women, tight and windy streets crowded with scooters, handsome Italian men, and lots and lots of dog poop everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAnd man o man, you are right there is nothing like the coffee in Italy- I will never forget my first cappuccino, so good I had to have two!
Anyways, love to you- I will keep checking in and seeing your progress. You have become a delightful writer- it's a joy to read your words.
Love-
Rachel
Sonja! I am really enjoying your pictures and they way that you describe the smell of the oranges and the gellato! I can imagine the sights and sounds of the fruit and veggie market by your school are out of the ordinary. It is an interesting part of travel abroad because you do start to notice what it is about your country that you like rather than dislike. You so fit in and they need you to look at as a shinning example of Nordic/Italian beauty! hehe. We are all enjoying your blog!
